TREE CONSULTANCY

TREE SURVEYS

Our tree surveys are tailored towards clients who have a number of trees on land which they are responsible for and who want to know if any of the trees require maintenance or represent any kind of health and safety hazard.  The surveys are designed to provide specific information about each tree and recommendations for any remedial action that may be needed.  Past clients have included schools and the local authority.  A typical survey would contain the following information:

  • Tree name.
  • Tree dimensions including height, stem diameter, crown spread.
  • Age class.
  • Condition of the tree – physiological and structural.
  • Potential consequences of tree failure e.g. damage to surroundings.
  • Recommendations.

Our surveys are presented in a tabular format that is clear and concise and include a detailed map or drawing of where  each tree is located.

TREE INSPECTION REPORTS

Our inspection reports tend to include much more detail about individual trees and their surroundings, rather than being a general survey of a large number of trees.  Inspection reports are usually commissioned because some particular concern about a tree has arisen – it shows signs of ill-health, for example,  or it may be suspected of causing subsidence.  A typical report would contain the following information:

  • Aims and limitations of the report.
  • Overview of the site – topography, targets, features, soil etc.
  • Local and maintenance histories.
  • Discussion of report findings.
  • Conclusion and recommendations.
  • Appendices including maps/drawings.
